Money & Payment

When will I receive my salary?

Our payment days are on Wednesday and Thursday. If there is a weekly payment applicable, you can expect to receive your salary in the week following the week you worked (e.g., you work in week 1, you receive the salary in week 2 on Wednesday or Thursday). If there is a 4-weekly payment applicable, the salary is paid in 13 periods per year (e.g., you work in weeks 1 to 4, you receive the salary in week 5 on Wednesday or Thursday). You can request an overview of these periodic payments from your contact person.

It appears that my salary is incorrect, who can I call at Feel Flex?

You can always contact your contact person at Feel Flex for this. Here you can find all our colleagues with their contact information.

I no longer work for you, when will I receive my holiday pay and payment for unused vacation days?

You will receive your accrued balances within 6 weeks after your last salary payment.

Do I receive travel expenses from you? And how much?

This depends on the location where you work and whether a bicycle or car is provided to you. This will be discussed with you in advance.

I want to take vacation days, when will you pay them out?

Vacation days that are taken will be paid out along with your regular pay on the scheduled payday. They are treated the same way as your regular worked hours and are included in the regular payment cycle.

Does Feel Flex handle my health insurance or do I need to arrange it myself?

If you hold Dutch nationality and have your own accommodation in the Netherlands, you are responsible for paying your own health insurance. However, if you come from abroad and we provide accommodation for you, we will also arrange your health insurance.

I have received a fine, do I have to pay it myself and how does that work?

Fines will be deducted from your next salary payment. If you have already left the company, the fine will be deducted from your final settlement. If the amount is insufficient to cover the fine, you will receive an invoice from us.

I live in a house provided by Feel Flex, how do I pay rent?

Rent is deducted from your salary in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. You will see this deduction reflected on your paycheck or payslip.

What is the lease addition (bijtelling) for a car provided by Feel Flex, and how does it work?

The amount of the lease addition (bijtelling) depends on the age and environmental performance of the car. In most cases, it is 22% of the fiscal value of the car. This amount will be deducted from your salary.

What is the difference between gross and net? What exactly is deducted from my salary?

Gross refers to the total amount of income before any deductions or taxes are applied. Net, on the other hand, refers to the amount of income that you receive after deductions and taxes have been taken out.

Several deductions may be applied to your salary, which can include taxes (such as income tax and social security contributions), pension contributions, health insurance premiums, and other mandatory deductions based on local laws and regulations.

The specific deductions from your salary will depend on various factors, such as your country's tax system, employment benefits, and any additional contributions or deductions you may have agreed upon with your employer. It is recommended to review your pay stub or consult with your employer's HR department for a detailed breakdown of the deductions applied to your salary.

What does 'DEDUCTED PAYROLL TAX/PREMIUM NATIONAL INSURANCES' mean on my payslip?

'Deducted payroll tax/premium national insurances' refers to the amount of money withheld from your salary for income tax and national insurance premiums. National insurance premiums are part of the payroll taxes that employers are obligated to deduct from the wages they pay to their employees.

Living & Housing

I do not have a house in the Netherlands, can Feel Flex help me find accommodation if I work for you?

If you are from abroad, you can indeed rent accommodation through us.

What do I need to bring myself when I get a home through Feel Flex?

Your good mood! You will often be entering a home where other Feel Flex employees also live. We will provide the standard furnishings and bedding.

I work for Feel Flex, but I want to arrange my own accommodation. Is that also allowed?

Yes, that is allowed. However, please be aware that if you choose to arrange your own accommodation, you will also need to arrange your own health insurance. If you save your room during vacation, you only pay €50,- a week in your vacation period. 

How much rent do I have to pay if I live in a property provided by Feel Flex?

That depends on the accommodation and whether you are renting a single or double room.

From when do I start paying rent for my accommodation with Feel Flex?

You start paying rent from the moment you move into the house.

Do I have to pay rent while I am on vacation?

If you want the assurance of returning to the same house, it is helpful to choose to keep the room during your vacation. This way, your belongings can also remain in place. This means your rent will continue during your vacation.

Is there internet available in my accommodation?

Yes, there is good WiFi available in all of our houses.

Can I get a shared room with my partner?

Yes, it is possible to request a shared room with your partner. However, the availability of shared rooms may vary depending on the specific housing options offered at the moment. It is recommended to contact us directly to inquire about the availability of shared rooms and discuss your specific needs and preferences. We will provide you with the necessary information and guidance regarding the accommodation options for couples.

What kind of houses does Feel Flex have?

We have a few large locations, but most of our houses are located in residential areas and are semi-detached houses or apartments.

Will I have my own room, or will I have to share it?

We have both single and double rooms available. This will be discussed with you in advance to determine your preference and accommodation needs.

Who cleans the accommodation provided by Feel Flex?

You are responsible for cleaning and maintaining your own living space in the accommodation provided by Feel Flex. This should be done in coordination and agreement with your fellow residents. It is important to establish clear communication and cooperation with your housemates to ensure that everyone contributes to keeping the living environment clean and tidy.

Maintenance

During office hours, you can contact your designated contact person within Feel Flex. Outside of office hours, we can be reached at the emergency number (PLEASE NOTE: for emergencies only): +31857470494 .

 

Is it allowed to use drugs in the house or garden provided by Feel Flex?

No, the use of drugs is not allowed. We have a zero-tolerance policy in place.

Work

How many days/hours/shifts will I be working?

This will be discussed with you in advance. It depends on the location where you will be working.

Will I receive work clothing and shoes?

Yes, you will receive work clothing and shoes upon starting your employment.

Can I be scheduled together with a friend/partner/family member?

If both parties desire it, we will definitely make every effort to accommodate that request.

What is the notice period at Feel Flex?

In Phase 1/2, the minimum notice period is 1 week in advance. If you are in Phase 3 or 4, the notice period is 1 month.

Can I work overtime, and will I be paid for those hours?

Certainly. The percentages for overtime pay depend on the collective labor agreement (CAO) followed by the client. The specific rates and guidelines for overtime compensation will be outlined in the relevant CAO. It is advisable to refer to the specific CAO applicable to your employment or consult with us or your employer for more information regarding the overtime rates and policies in place.

Are there people within the organization who speak my language?

Within Feel Flex, we have colleagues who speak Dutch, Polish, Latvian, Italian, Spanish, and English.

Where can I find more information about the collective labor agreement (CAO)?

You can find the information on the website www.nbbu.nl. Additionally, you can download the NBBU app from both the Play Store and App Store. The app provides access to up-to-date CAO texts at all times

Transportation

Does Feel Flex arrange transportation to and from work?

If necessary, we will assess the available options and discuss them with you.

If I am provided with a car by Feel Flex, am I allowed to use it for personal purposes?

Yes, in the Netherlands, you are allowed to use the car privately, as long as you pay the appropriate lease addition (bijtelling). However, please note that fuel costs will be your responsibility.

I have received a fine, how and when do I pay it?

Fines will be deducted from your next salary payment. If you have already left the company, the fine will be deducted from your final settlement. If the deduction is not sufficient to cover the fine, you will receive an invoice.

If I drive a car provided by Feel Flex, do I have to pay a lease addition (bijtelling)? And how much is it?

I have damage to the car provided by Feel Flex, what should I do?

Report the damage to the leasing company. Fill out a damage report form immediately. Send it, along with photos, directly to auto@feelflex.nl and your contact person within Feel Flex.

How does maintenance for my car work?

You can make an appointment with an authorized dealer for this purpose. Clearly mention in advance that it is for a leased car.

What are the traffic rules in the Netherlands?

In the Netherlands, there are several important traffic rules that you should be aware of when driving:

  1. Right-hand driving: Traffic moves on the right-hand side of the road.

  2. Speed limits: The speed limits vary depending on the type of road and the area. In general, the speed limits are 50 km/h in built-up areas, 80 km/h on non-urban roads, and 100-130 km/h on highways.

  3. Priority and right of way: Follow the rules of priority and give right of way as indicated by traffic signs or road markings. Generally, vehicles coming from the right have priority unless otherwise indicated.

  4. Traffic lights and signs: Obey traffic lights and signs, including red lights, green lights, stop signs, yield signs, and other regulatory signs.

  5. Seat belts: All occupants of a vehicle must wear seat belts, both in the front and rear seats.

  6. Mobile phone use: It is illegal to use a handheld mobile phone while driving, including making calls or texting.

  7. Alcohol and drugs: The legal blood alcohol limit for driving is 0.5‰ (promille), and driving under the influence of drugs is strictly prohibited.

  8. Bicycle priority: Bicycles are widely used in the Netherlands, and they often have priority on designated bicycle paths. Pay attention to cyclists and yield to them when necessary.

I want to take vacation, what do I need to do?

How do I receive my vacation hours and vacation pay?

Vacation pay is paid out once a year, in the last week of May. Vacation hours can be taken on the days you choose to take time off.

I have left employment with Feel Flex, when will I receive my vacation pay and vacation days?

You will receive your accrued entitlements within 6 weeks after your last salary payment.

How often am I allowed to take vacations?

As long as you have accrued vacation days and discuss your absence in advance, there is no limit to the number of times you can take a vacation.

How many vacation days will I receive?

When working full-time, you typically accrue around 25 vacation days per year.

Where can I find more information about the collective labor agreement (CAO)?

On the website www.nbbu.nl, you can find all the CAO information. Additionally, you can download the NBBU app from both the Play Store and the App Store. The app provides access to the most up-to-date CAO texts.

I work for Feel Flex, but I want to arrange my own accommodation. Is that also allowed?

Yes, that is allowed. However, please be aware that if you choose to arrange your own accommodation, you will also need to arrange your own health insurance. 

Is my health insurance staying during my vacation?

Yes, it is. So you need to keep paying about it of course.

I don't have enough vacation hours, what do we do?

Hours are divided through all planned vacation. For example, if you have 2 weeks holiday when the company is closed, but onlu 30 vacation hours saved then those 30 hours will be divided for bothe weeks. So you receive something each week. If you are minuses and can't pay full amount for housing & health insurance then it goes as "debt" and you can find the calculation in payslip. Later on when you are back to work this debt will be calculated off the next salary. 

What is the difference between Vacation Hours and Reservations?

Vakantieuren is 'vacation hours' which you are building up while working via Feel Flex. Amount of hours and money can always be found in payslip second page. These are hours used whenyou are going on vacation. 40 Hours covers one full working week.

Vakantiegeld is 'reservations' which is built up during time and year when you are working. This amount is paid out once per year.

Do I have to pay rent while I am on vacation?

This means your rent will continue during your vacation. To keep the house during your vacation you'll only pay €50,- a week during your holiday.

Being ill

I am sick, how do I report it?

You should notify your supervisor at work before your shift begins. Additionally, you should call our contact person at Feel Flex at this number: +3188-2015850 by 9:00 a.m. to inform them of your illness.

I need urgent medical care, who should I call?

112 - this is the general emergency number in the Netherlands for ambulance, fire brigade, and police.

How much sick pay will I receive?

After the waiting day, you will receive 90% of your salary in the first year of illness. If you are still sick after 52 weeks, the payment will be reduced to 80% of your salary.

Where should I report that I am better?

You should report that you are better to both Feel Flex and the company where you work.

Who is my general practitioner (GP) and how can I contact him or her?

This is the nearest general practitioner (GP) to your residence. Information about this can be found in your accommodation.

Where can I find the details of my health insurance?

If you have taken out your own health insurance, you can request your policy from the relevant company. If you have health insurance through us, you can find the policy here.

Can I travel abroad if I am sick?

Only with prior approval from Feel Flex and explicit permission from the company doctor and/or the Employee Insurance Agency (UWV) can you travel abroad while being sick.

What is the difference between a general practitioner (GP) and an occupational health physician (OH physician)?

A general practitioner (GP) assesses the health of the sick employee but, unlike the occupational health physician, is not authorized to make a judgment about your work capacity.

Do I need to arrange my own health insurance or do you take care of it?

Are you from abroad? In that case, the health insurance runs through us if you use our housing, if you have your own house you need to arrange it by yourself. If you are Dutch and living in the Netherlands, you need to arrange it yourself.

What will be paid when I have reported sick?

After the waiting day, you will typically receive 90% of your salary during the first year of sickness. If your sickness extends beyond 52 weeks, the payment will be reduced to 80% of your salary.
